Worldwide vaccination campaigns, the relaxation of international travel conditions, the establishment of a European health passport and the desire of professionals to meet again: The signs are good that Silmo Paris 2021 can be held again in the usual way – in Paris Nord Villepinte, from 24 to 27 September 2021.
Last Thursday, the French government announced a plan to gradually unblock the country. This officially confirmed what Silmo organisers had been expecting: that trade fairs, conferences and exhibitions will be able to open. Thus, as of 30 June, there will be no cap on participants for such events as long as the health measures still in place are respected.
Silmo Paris in preparation
The organisers with Amélie Morel, chairwoman of the Paris trade fair, are also looking forward: „After two years without any major international gatherings, the reunion of professionals from the optical and eyewear industry will only get more intense, I am sure of it. The entire Silmo Paris team is working hard to prepare for this new edition, and we look forward to seeing you there! It is clear that all the technology in the world will never replace the power and emotion of a physical event.“
