Also Lightbird is among the protagonists of the twenty-fifth edition of Silmo d’Or 2019 – the international award for creativity and innovation in the eyewear’s world, where the new brand by the Bellunese designer Corrado Rosson wins the Silmo d’Or Premiere Classe.
The award ceremony was held on 28th September in Paris in the spectacular Pavillon d’Armenonville, where an international jury – made up of industry professionals, designers and journalists – unveiled the names of the winners of this edition.
“It was an explosion of sudden joy. My team and I received the news in the hall during the ceremony and we went directly on stage to collect the prize. Being awarded the Silmo d’Or fills us with satisfaction for the work done so far and gives us the energy to continue this adventure that began less than a year ago”, says Corrado Rosson, who received the award for the third time in his career as a designer and the first with his own brand Lightbird.
Lightbird wins with a retro style shape
The sun model Planet LB003 by Lightbird is characterized by a retro style shape. The rounded lenses bring back to the great splendours of the first decades of the twentieth century, but the innovative production system leads to a contemporary style.
On the left lense sits a small detail that recalls the Lightbird’s logo: the eye of the bird. The women’s sun collection includes three colors including an exciting Etheric Pink contrasting with a front Mirror “Natural Light” and Mirror Pink lenses.
