Autumn Sourcing Week offers new opportunities for SMEs
HKTDC platform helps businesses go digital
Autumn Sourcing Week – Online (ASWO), which runs from 16 to 27 November, will offer a one-stop online sourcing platform showcasing products across various industries, including optics. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is providing new online promotional services to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capture digital opportunities arising from the “new normal” following Covid-19.
With newly added functions, the upgraded hktdc.com Sourcing platform offers users a comprehensive smart sourcing experience, while the ASWO will spotlight businesses from 11 industries to create new opportunities and synergies.
HKTDC: Support enterprises
Launched 20 years ago, hktdc.com Sourcing now features more than 130,000 suppliers and two million international buyers, with some 24 million business connections forged each year. The upgraded platform incorporates new page designs and functions. It deploys artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies to enhance business connections between buyers and suppliers, providing a personalised user experience. A Digital Academy offers free support and training to equip SMEs with digital marketing capabilities.
Autumn Sourcing Week – Online (ASWO), which runs from 16 to 27 November, will offer a one-stop online sourcing platform showcasing products across various industries, including electronics, houseware, lighting, outdoor tech light, eco tech, gifts & premium, toys, baby products, stationery, optical as well as watch & clock. ASWO features the Click2Match, an AI-enabled business matching platform, to provide buyers and suppliers with online self-service tools such as meeting planner, live chat, video meeting, and e-business card exchange, offering a richer online sourcing and networking experience for buyers and exhibitors.
A webinar (in English) with Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC, on Thursday, November 12, will provide further information on trends in sourcing and international supply chains, SME strategies in the pandemic and new digital initiatives of the HKTDC.
